The other day I stumbled upon a Walt Whitman quote that says, “To the real artist in humanity, what are called bad manners are often the most picturesque and significant of all.” It made me consider how we are content to go about our daily lives existing in our own, confined airspace. There’s always one excuse or another to compensate for this attitude; After all, “we are born alone, we die alone” right?
But why not try believing in people, if not just for today? You’d be surprised at how inspiring a complete stranger can be. BuzzFeed recently compiled a collection of pictures proving that, despite their flaws, people can be kind of awesome. They’re all incredible, but this was my personal favorite:

“My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”
I love this!
